Os diâmetros dos tubos de 4,76–22 mm (0.187” – 0.866”) de vários materiais, tais como alumínio, aço inoxidável e tubos de travão podem ser cortados utilizando qualquer um dos métodos, e os tubos retos até 28,6 mm (1.125”).
As áreas típicas de aplicação são nas indústrias automóvel e de permutadores de calor, etc., onde é necessária uma boa qualidade de corte e uma velocidade de produção superior.
