T‑DRILL’s patented welding technology is changing the game for tubular components. Instead of welding from the outside, the joint is welded 100% from the inside, leaving a perfectly smooth inner surface and a weld root on the outside for easy inspection.
Our welding machines are designed for demanding quality welding of tubular parts, and they excel in batch production and applications with high quality requirements. Special or complex assemblies like double wall pipes are possible as well. INTERNAL WELDING PROCESS
The welding process is based on TIG welding process. Unlike traditional welding, the T-DRILL welding process is done from the inside of the tube, which makes the tube inner surface exceptionally smooth. The root is formed on the outer surface of the tube, making visual quality checks easier.
With our T-InWeld machine, the whole welding process is automated. The cycle begins with a machine operator positioning the components in a dedicated alignment tool. Once placed inside the T‑InWeld machine, the welding process is carried out automatically.
The machine operator can easily control key parameters such as welding current, travel speed, and pre‑ and post‑gas flow, allowing fine‑tuning for different applications.
The T-DRILL welding method is often described as an “internal orbital weld”, as it shares similarities with orbital welding but is performed inside the tube.
